Plant Watering
Indoor plant watering following your care instructions exactly. We check soil moisture, water at the right frequency per plant, and let you know if anything looks off.
Cat Care
Feeding, fresh water, litter box scoop and clean, and 10 minutes of play or cuddle time. Your cat stays comfortable at home instead of stressed in a boarding facility.
Home Watch
Mail and package collection, trash and recycling bins in and out, a quick walk-through to check for leaks or anything unusual, and a short photo report sent to you.

Reach Out
Contact us with your trip dates and what you need. We'll confirm availability and answer any questions by text or phone.
Free Meet & Greet
We come to your home for a free 20-minute visit before your trip — meet the cats, walk through the plant care routine, see the home layout, and fill out a simple care sheet together. You hand off a key and we're ready to go.
Confirm & Pay
We confirm the visit schedule and collect payment upfront via Venmo or Zelle before you leave. No invoices to chase down when you get home.
Daily Visits & Photo Updates
We show up at a consistent time every day, follow the care plan exactly, and send you a photo update after each visit. You'll see your cats, your plants, and know the house is in good hands.
Final Check & Key Return
On the last day we do a final walkthrough, make sure everything is tidy, and return your key on pickup or leave it inside as agreed. One last "all good!" text and you're set.
Who Takes Care of Your Home
Meet Ella
Go Green Plants & Pets is run by Ella Befus, the youngest member of the Go Green family. Ella is a Grand Rapids native and lifelong animal lover who brings the same reliability and attention to detail that Go Green clients have come to expect from the painting side of the business. She remembers every detail — which plant needs water every three days, which cat only eats half a can at a time, which window you'd like left cracked. Her clients don't have to repeat themselves.
Go Green Plants & Pets operates under the Go Green business umbrella, so you're not hiring a stranger from an app — you're working with a family you already know and trust.

What areas do you serve? +
We serve Greater Grand Rapids including East Grand Rapids, Forest Hills, Ada, Cascade, Kentwood, and surrounding neighborhoods. A $25 travel fee applies for visits more than 15 miles from Grand Rapids.
How does the first booking work? +
We start with a free 20-minute meet & greet at your home before your trip. We meet your pets, walk through the care routine, collect a house key, and fill out a simple care sheet together. Payment is collected upfront before you leave.
Will I get updates while I'm away? +
Yes — you'll get a photo update by text after every visit. Typically a photo of your cat and one of the plants or home so you can see that everything is in good shape.
How much do your vacation pet sitting services cost? +
Cat care visits are $25 per visit. Plant watering only is $20. A home watch visit (mail, packages, bins) is $15. The full vacation package combining all three is $35–$40 per visit. Holidays add $10 per visit. Minimum booking is 3 consecutive days.
Do you take care of dogs? +
We currently specialize in cats and indoor plants. If you have a dog and are curious about options, reach out — we're happy to talk through your situation.
Is Go Green Plants & Pets insured? +
Yes. Go Green Plants & Pets operates under the Go Green business liability policy, which covers pet care services including any incidents involving pets in our care or at client homes.
How far in advance should I book? +
We recommend reaching out at least 1–2 weeks before your trip so we have time to schedule the meet & greet and confirm your dates. Holiday periods (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break, July 4th) book up faster — earlier is better.
